One of the best kept secrets in the world of sweets is Yogurtland. My wife and I first heard about this place while living in Simi Valley, California. The store is located in the Topanga Canyon shopping center next to Regal and Starbucks. The one closest to us in Texas is located at Debbie Lane and Matlock in Mansfield.

Yogurtland serves yogurt in assembly line fashion, complete with a range of delicious toppings. The neat thing about it, you pay by weight. One of my favorite things about Yogurtland — they let you sample the yogurt before you buy! Upon arrival, they hand out these little white sample cups, similar to something that you might put condiments in, and you can use those to sample 2-3 flavors and decided on how to build your custom creation!

I really enjoy Cake Batter, New York Cheesecake, and Salted Caramel. Normally, I will grab a bowl, fill it up about 1/3 of the way. Then I go to the toppings and give a few generous scoops of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups chunks. Then, I I fill it up with more yogurt, and top it with Reese’s again. I have been doing this for about 2 years. It is a weekly / near-weekly treat, and I look forward to it. My wife does, as well.

I encourage you look for a Yogurtland near you. If one exists, you should go. You won’t regret it. Go back a few times. Give it a chance. I have been to many yogurt shops, but none are as good Yogurtland. Wagen, over and out.
