Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to introduce my friend and mentor in the art of writing — Mark R. Morris, Jr. — and talk to you about his new project, “Jacked.” First, you should know that Mark has been writing since he was 14 years old, stabbing out his first novel on a typewriter…at least until it broke. As an adult, Mark bought a theater company and started writing plays for his company and his local church. This is where his writing abilities really flourished, and it was his stepping stone into writing professionally; which, he has been doing for 7 years. Mark watches alot of science fiction films, and has enjoyed a few of the older, more pivotal works, but does not boast a long reading list in the genre.
Jacked is about a young man named Jack that discovers his local burger shop — the Mad Cow — is actually ground zero for an interdimensional hub for various beings to move through. This could be supplies, beings, or information. Jack goes on a journey that is reminiscent of Men in Black meets Alice in Wonderland, and Mark does an excellent job developing a strong, character driven story which will have you on the edge of your seat the entire time! For the ultra-low price of $3.50, you can read the first installment in this exciting novella. To purchase the book or read a free preview, click here. A print edition will be coming out shortly, but Mark and I both encourage you to sink your teeth into this digital edition. Most of all, enjoy the interdimensional journey with Jack and friends!
